How Does CBD Oil for Dogs Help?

There are a number of daily stressors, aches, and pains that dogs may face throughout their lifetime. They’re not so different than the ones we deal with.

You may already be familiar with people taking CBD oil to help with a range of issues. This begs the question: what do dogs, cats, and humans have in common when it comes to cannabis?

The answer is a system you may be unfamiliar with, called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). It maintains balance in the body through a series of receptors called CB1 and CB2. Otherwise known as cannabinoid receptors.

Cannabinoids, like CBD and CBDa, act as neurotransmitters to tell our receptors what to do.

The result?

Regulation of various processes in the following areas:

• Brain
• Spinal Cord
• Lungs
• Liver
• Kidneys
• Immune System
• Bones
• & More

If the ECS is not functioning properly, it can affect us in many different ways. When our body isn’t producing enough cannabinoids on its own, that’s when cannabinoids from hemp become a powerful and natural way to support the ECS.

Benefits of CBD Oil for Dogs

Now that you know how CBD oil for dogs works, you may be wondering why it’s used.

According to a 2019 Gallup Poll, 14% of Americans report using CBD. Based on that and testimonials from our customers, here are a few popular reasons for giving CBD oil to dogs.

Sleep

At one point or another, we’ve all learned the hard way how sleep deprivation can affect behavior or mood. Thankfully, one of the most common reasons we’ve heard of people taking CBD, or giving it to a pet, is to help them fall and stay asleep.

Uneasiness

Another popular use of CBD oil for dogs is to support a calm demeanor during storms or firework celebrations.

Separation Anxiety

Pets are commonly known to act out while they’re home alone, chewing up everything from crates to carpet. Some people report giving their dog CBD oil to help them stay calm and relaxed throughout the day.

Directions

Mix the CBD oil into your dog’s food once or twice daily, or as directed by your vet.

Dogs love the taste of Made By Hemp Wellness Drops, so you can dispense it directly into their mouth or mix it into a treat.
